Prime Day Spend Acceleration
Using our own Facteus ‘Pulse’ consumer credit card transaction data we compared how Amazon's Prime Day promotion influenced shoppers in 2021 to 2022.
We looked at spend acceleration leading up to Prime Day to see the how the spikes in spend growth compared. Pulse data shows that 2021 was much more stable and steady and Prime Day was just a small spike for Amazon. Meanwhile, leading up to this year's Prime Day, shoppers were actually decelerating their spend before spending big during the promo.
We also track and report on Amazon Big Deals data ahead of the holiday shopping season every year.
